KYC and Verification

Why We Verify Your Identity

At CashiMashi, maintaining a secure and trustworthy gaming environment is paramount. We are legally obligated to verify the identity of our players. This process, known as Know Your Customer (KYC), is a fundamental requirement imposed by our licensing authority and international anti-money laundering regulations. Identity verification protects you from fraud, prevents underage gambling, and ensures that CashiMashi operates in full compliance with all applicable laws. It helps us confirm that funds used on our platform are legitimate and that withdrawals are sent to the rightful account holder, safeguarding both your interests and the integrity of our services.

What KYC (Know Your Customer) Means

KYC, or Know Your Customer, is a standard regulatory process for financial institutions and online service providers, including CashiMashi. It involves collecting and verifying personal information about our customers. The primary goals of KYC are to:

  • Prevent identity theft and fraud.
  • Combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • Ensure compliance with gambling regulations and licensing conditions.
  • Protect vulnerable individuals, such as minors, from accessing our services.

By understanding who our customers are, CashiMashi can operate responsibly and maintain a safe, fair, and transparent gaming platform for everyone.

When Verification Is Required

Verification is an ongoing process that may be triggered at various stages of your relationship with CashiMashi. Typically, you will be asked to complete our verification procedures:

  • Upon Registration: Basic identity checks may occur when you first create an account.
  • Before Your First Withdrawal: To comply with anti-money laundering regulations, we generally require full verification before processing any withdrawal requests.
  • When Reaching Specific Deposit or Withdrawal Thresholds: Our internal risk management policies and regulatory requirements mandate additional checks once certain cumulative transaction amounts are reached.
  • If There Are Changes to Your Account Information: Updating personal details, such as your address or payment method, may necessitate re-verification.
  • During Periodic Reviews: We conduct regular reviews of customer accounts to ensure the information we hold remains accurate and up-to-date.
  • If Suspicious Activity Is Detected: Any unusual or suspicious activity on your account will trigger immediate verification requests.

We aim to make this process as efficient as possible, but timely submission of requested documents helps avoid delays.

Documents You May Be Asked to Provide

To complete our KYC procedures, you will typically be asked to provide copies of specific documents. These documents help us confirm your identity, address, and ownership of payment methods. All documents must be clear, legible, and valid, meaning they should not be expired. We may request:

  • Proof of Identity
  • Proof of Address
  • Proof of Payment Method Ownership
  • Source of Funds documentation (in specific circumstances)

Details for each category are provided below. Please ensure all four corners of the document are visible in the image you provide.

Proof of Identity

To verify your identity, CashiMashi requires a clear, colour copy of one of the following government-issued identification documents:

  • Passport: The photo page, showing your full name, date of birth, photograph, signature, and document expiry date.
  • National ID Card: Both the front and back of the card, clearly displaying your full name, date of birth, photograph, and document expiry date.
  • Driving Licence: Both the front and back of the licence, showing your full name, date of birth, photograph, and document expiry date.

The document must be valid and not expired. Please ensure the image is of high quality, with all details clearly readable and no glare or obstructions.

Proof of Address

To confirm your residential address, we require a clear copy of a document issued within the last three months that shows your full name and current residential address. Acceptable documents include:

  • Utility Bill: Such as electricity, water, gas, or internet bill. Mobile phone bills are generally not accepted.
  • Bank Statement: A statement from a recognised financial institution.
  • Credit Card Statement: A statement from a recognised financial institution.
  • Government-Issued Letter: For example, a tax statement.

The document must be dated within the last three months, clearly display your name and address, and be issued by a reputable third party. Screenshots of online bills or statements are acceptable if they clearly show the issuer's logo, your name, address, and the issue date.

Payment Method Verification

To ensure that funds are being deposited and withdrawn by the legitimate owner of the payment method, CashiMashi requires verification of the payment method used. The specific documents needed depend on the method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: A clear photo of the front and back of the card. For security, please obscure the middle eight digits of the card number on the front and the CVV/CVC code on the back. The first six and last four digits of the card number, your name, and the expiry date must be clearly visible.
  • E-Wallets (e.g., Skrill, Neteller, PayPal): A screenshot of your e-wallet account page showing your full name, email address, and the account ID. The screenshot must clearly demonstrate that the account is registered in your name.
  • Bank Transfers: A copy of a recent bank statement or a screenshot of your online banking portal showing your full name, bank account number, and the bank's logo. Sensitive transaction details can be obscured.

Ensure that the name on the payment method matches the name registered on your CashiMashi account.

Source of Funds and Enhanced Due Diligence

In certain situations, particularly when large deposits are made or cumulative transaction thresholds are met, CashiMashi may be required to conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and request proof of your source of funds (SOF). This is a regulatory requirement to prevent money laundering and to ensure responsible gaming. Documents that may be requested include:

  • Payslips or Employment Contract: To verify income from employment.
  • Bank Statements: Demonstrating consistent income or significant savings.
  • Tax Returns: To confirm declared income.
  • Proof of Sale of Property or Assets: Documentation of large asset sales.
  • Inheritance Documentation: Legal documents related to inherited funds.
  • Business Financial Statements: For self-employed individuals or business owners.

We understand that these requests are more intrusive, but they are crucial for our compliance obligations. All information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

The Verification Process and Timeframes

Once you have submitted your documents through the designated section of your CashiMashi account, our dedicated verification team will review them. We aim to process all verification requests as quickly as possible. The standard timeframe for document review is typically within 24 to 72 hours. However, during periods of high volume or if additional information is required, this process may take longer. You will be notified via email or through your account messages once your documents have been reviewed and your verification status updated. If any documents are unclear, invalid, or additional information is needed, we will contact you with specific instructions.

Keeping Your Documents Safe

CashiMashi is committed to protecting your personal information. All documents and data submitted for verification are handled with strict confidentiality and stored securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant data protection regulations, including GDPR. We utilise advanced encryption technologies to safeguard your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Access to your documents is restricted to authorised personnel only, who are trained in data protection protocols. Your documents are used solely for the purpose of identity verification and regulatory compliance and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Anti-Money Laundering Compliance

CashiMashi operates under a strict anti-money laundering (AML) policy as mandated by our licensing authority and international financial regulations. Our KYC procedures are a core component of this policy. We are legally obliged to monitor transactions and report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities. This commitment helps prevent our platform from being used for illicit financial activities, such as money laundering or terrorist financing. By verifying your identity and, where necessary, your source of funds, we contribute to a safer global financial system and ensure the integrity of CashiMashi's operations.

Age Verification and Protecting Minors

Underage gambling is strictly prohibited at CashiMashi. Our services are intended solely for individuals who are 18 years of age or older, or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. Age verification is an integral part of our KYC process. We use the identity documents you provide to confirm your age. Any account found to belong to a minor will be immediately closed, and any winnings forfeited. We are dedicated to protecting minors and promoting responsible gaming practices.

If Verification Is Delayed or Unsuccessful

While we strive for efficient verification, delays can occur if the submitted documents are unclear, incomplete, or do not meet our requirements. If your verification is delayed, please check your email and CashiMashi account messages for any requests for additional information or clarification. If your verification is unsuccessful, it typically means we could not confirm your identity or other required details with the documents provided. In such cases, we will inform you of the reason and provide guidance on how to resubmit or provide alternative documentation. Failure to complete verification successfully may result in restrictions on your account, including the inability to deposit, play, or withdraw funds, and in some cases, account closure.
